 He was the son of Jacob Rorer and Sarah Street.1 
Baptism26 December 1828 He was baptized on 26 December 1828 at St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Germantown, Philadelphia, PA.1,2 
(Witness) 1850 Census1850 He appeared on the census of 1850 in the household of his older brother, Edward, and his mother, Sarah. They were living in Abington Township, Montgomery, PA. 24 year old Lewis was a laborer as was Edward.3 
Marriage*1866 He married Josephine Snyder, daughter of Tobias Snyder and Salome Laubenstine, in 1866 at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, Doylestown, Bucks, PA. The groom was from Plumstead; the bride was from Solebury.4 
Census 1870*19 August 1870 He and Josephine Snyder appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of P.O. Lumberville, Plumstead Township, Bucks, PA, enumerated 19 August 1870. Their one year old daughter Anna was listed as living with them. Lewis was a laborer.5 
Census 1880*8 June 1880 Lewis and Josephine had moved to Bedminster, Bucks, PA by 8 June 1880. Their children Anna, Araminda, William and Mabel were listed as living with them. He was a farmer.6 
Death*29 January 1895 He died on 29 January 1895 at Tinicum, Bucks, PA, at age 69. He died of Bright's Disease. He had been born in Germantown and was a farmer.7 
Burial*2 February 1895 He was buried on 2 February 1895 at North Section, Row 1, Lower Tinicum Cemetery, Tinicum Township, Bucks, PA.7,8 
Compiler's Comment* Although the birth year of 1839 appears on the tombstone, that does not agree with the birthdate and baptismal date from the church records.
